Sports Channel Analysis

 

This poster would appeal to the target audience as it’s about a sport most people like to watch (baseball) and its also designed in an intriguing way as the font is very different to what we would normally see on a poster. The composition of the poster is quite unique as well by having the breakage from the ball creates an interesting poster. The colours blend well together and make the poster look more interesting as the picture seemed to have been taken around night-time or around an evening match as the sky matches the stadium being a navy blue which is nicely contrasted with the turf/grass with its highlights surrounding the batter.

This might grab the targets attention as it has some well-known sports being displayed as well as quite a few players they might know. The composition of the poster as well is quite fun to look at due to the positioning of the players and with the sports they all play. It Is nice that they have a variety of sports being included. The bold colours of their shirts also stand out against the soft colours of the background/sky giving more of a contrast that draws attention.

This poster would appeal to the target audience as it is portraying a sport which as mainly a favourite of the people, but the background feels to me like it is inspired by gladiator. It conveys a feeling of the sport being like a fight or a war with a rival. The composition of the piece is directly coordinated to the titles and the teams playing as the respected teams are under their rightful header with a snippet of information about the type of match.
